A Bit About Us
About Us:
The Lawilowan American Indian Festival (LAIF) has been a cornerstone of cultural celebration since 2007, with the Muddy Run Powwow added in 2009. These two powwows take place annually in south-central Pennsylvania, offering immersive experiences in Native American culture.
Event Locations:
- March: The Lawilowan American Indian Festival at York College of Pennsylvania, York, PA.
- September: The Muddy Run Powwow at Steam-O-Rama grounds, Windsor, PA.
Our mission is to educate the public about the richness and diversity of Native American cultures. We proudly collaborate with top drummers, singers, dancers, artisans, flute players, and Masters of Ceremonies across the United States. These experts share their deep knowledge, helping us promote cultural awareness and education.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the living and evolving traditions of Native American communities. Discover more about our history and events by visiting our history page.
